There are three elements present during hot water pressure washer use that successfully remove oil, grease or either combined with dirt. These elements are heat, agitation and soap. This is how they work

•  Heated water creates a molecular action that causes a cleaning agent to be more active and reduces water’s surface tension so it can effectively mix with grease at the molecular level.

•  Agitation is the impact that comes from the water volume and water pressure hitting the surface.

•  Soap (may be referred to as “detergent”) breaks the bond between dirt and the surface to be cleaned.

So how do you know when to use hot water? If cleaning something that has oil or grease on it, you’ll need a hot water pressure washer.
